Important Trip Info

Learn more about the Nicaragua trip experience:

Convoy of Hope’s International programs started in Central America in 1998 with the Disaster Response to Hurricane Mitch. While Convoy of Hope continued to aid Nicaragua during the aftermath of storms and droughts in the country, our Children’s Feeding program began in 2006. Since then, through providing nutritional food for children, helping women through empowerment programs, assisting farmers and much more, we’ve shared hope with the people of the region. Nicaragua is the second poorest country in the Western Hemisphere, but the people have made significant strides.

Field Teams have the opportunity to come alongside local leaders to help resource them as they serve children. Through projects such as building kitchens, dining areas or playgrounds, and engaging with children in partnership with local churches, teams impact the region.

Also, each team will have the opportunity to learn more about the culture while visiting some of the beautiful locations in the area. To go on this trip, all group members must be 18 years old or older.

Teams come alongside staff at our program locations and tackle construction, agriculture and other projects, with opportunities to interact with children.

We work closely with our in-country team to determine the specific projects your team will take part in and will communicate that to you 60 days prior to your trip.

The estimated trip costs are exactly that: estimates. The specific and final costs will be communicated during the application approval process.
