Important Trip Info

Learn more about the Tanzania trip experience:

Tanzania is a beautifully diverse country in East Africa where Convoy of Hope is privileged to serve alongside local leaders to help school children with nutrition, single mothers through empowerment programs, and others through various initiatives.

There are numerous opportunities for Field Teams to come alongside these leaders to help increase capacity. Through building kitchens, latrines, chicken coops, greenhouses or participating in other projects, teams can make huge contributions to sustainability strategies for the communities with whom we work.

The Tanzanian people are extremely friendly. Teams will interact with children and their leaders throughout time on the field.

Tanzania also includes some of the best wild animal viewing opportunities anywhere in the world. If desired, teams can go on a safari as part of their engagement in the country.

Ground prices vary depending on desired length of service and housing. The cost range includes a one-day safari experience. Project costs vary depending on the needs of the communities.

Through building kitchens, latrines, chicken coops, greenhouses or participating in other projects, teams can make huge contributions to sustainability strategies for the communities with whom we work. This happens alongside opportunities to interact with children.

Are Field Teams open to individuals as well as groups?

Currently, we are not able to accommodate individuals who are not connected with a team.

Field Teams exist to connect partners with opportunities to serve people through Convoy of Hope. Field Teams consist of people from churches, universities and/or other groups or organizations.

What age groups are encouraged to serve as a Field Team?

Field Teams are open to those who are 16-years-old and older for international travel (certain trips require 18+) and 13-years-old and older for U.S.-based trips.
