Bulgaria

Important Trip Info
Founded in 681 A.D., Bulgaria is one of the oldest countries in Europe. After years of communist rule, it gained freedom in 1990 and joined the European Union in 2007. There’s an enormous opportunity to come alongside church leaders to serve and empower vulnerable communities in Bulgaria.
Teams visiting Bulgaria may get the opportunity to work with the local church and assist with work focused on Roma (Gypsy) children, Community Events, or with refugees. The Bulgarian people are very friendly and relational. Teams will spend time learning from and sharing with the people of this country.
Trip Cost Breakdown
Types of Projects
Teams partner with the local churches to serve vulnerable communities. Teams may serve Roma children through English programs, camps, back-to-school parties, church renovation projects, or preparing meals. They may also help with Community Events by handing out groceries, putting on programs for children, and more. There may be opportunities to serve refugees on their search for peace and stability.
Note: With Community Events, refugee work, and building projects, raising more funds allows for greater possibilities.
We work closely with our in-country team to determine the specific projects your team will take part in. We will communicate those details to you at least 60 days prior to your trip.
Note: While photos on this page were taken in connection to Convoy of Hope and/or Field Teams trips, each trip is unique, and engagement opportunities may differ.
