In the southeast corner of Kansas, where the population is shrinking and the poverty level is increasing, pastors of a local church are working with other community members and organizations to bring spiritual health and multifaceted revitalization to their community and the surrounding area. Through Convoy of Hope’s Rural Initiatives, they receive specialized training, encouragement, and resources to build stronger churches and communities. Recently, this partnership expanded to include Field Teams. Field Teams members work alongside pastors and churches to complete community improvement projects and engage in relational ministry opportunities for local youth, seniors, and the marginalized.

We work closely with our local team to determine specific projects your team will take part in, and we will communicate that to you 60 days before your trip. Possible engagement includes working with the elderly, home repairs, serving local stakeholders, helping host block parties, upgrading or serving from a local downtown outreach center, or other activities.
