In 2013, Convoy of Hope partnered with the locals of Wichita to host a Community Event. Every year since, Convoy of Hope has worked with the churches and leadership of the city to bring God’s love and real-life resources to the marginalized and under-resourced living there.

We connect Field Teams with opportunities throughout Wichita focused on reaching neighborhoods being served by the Community Event. Outside of the Community Event, Field Teams continue serving the community throughout the year. They work alongside churches and nonprofits to assist with community cleanup programs, church revitalizations, and VBS outreaches. There is opportunity for relational ministry in addition to construction and/or service projects.

While there is flexibility on when teams can help, serving Monday-to-Monday allows for them to engage in a Saturday outreach.

Note: The cost referenced on this page includes staying at a local church on air mattresses. There is an option to stay in a hotel for more funds.

Teams come alongside partners of our Community Event and tackle construction, community cleanup projects, church revitalizations and VBS outreaches. We work closely with our local team to determine specific projects your team will take part in and will communicate that to you 60 days prior to your trip.
