In 2013, Convoy of Hope partnered with local partners in Wichita to host a Community Event. Every year since, Convoy of Hope has worked with the churches and leadership of the city to bring God’s love and real-life resources to the marginalized and under-resourced living there.

We connect Field Teams with opportunities throughout Wichita focused on reaching neighborhoods being served by the Community Event. Outside of the Community Event, Field Teams continue serving the community throughout the year. Teams work alongside churches and nonprofits to assist with community cleanup programs, ministry revitalizations, and community outreaches. There is opportunity for relational ministry in addition to construction and/or service projects.

The ground cost listed is for Field Teams to stay at the church on air mattresses, with bathroom and shower access. Or, for significantly more ground cost, teams can stay in a hotel or vacation rental not too far from the church.

Teams come alongside partners of our Community Event and tackle construction, community cleanup projects, church revitalizations, and VBS outreaches.

We are working closely with our local partners to determine specific projects your team will take part in and will communicate that to you as the trip approaches.

The requested project cost helps fund your team's project work. If your team would like to donate beyond that amount, we welcome your generosity as it directly expands what we can accomplish!
